All of the teachers and staff of Summer Reading Camp want to wish you a very safe and happy summer. We hope you enjoyed all that you were able to do at camp. We saw many of you forging new friendships, trying new games, and reaching new heights in reading. Well done all!
Don't forget to share your feedback with the team at Education Connection!

This morning, our students are right back on track with their guided reading lessons. Everyone is reading and discussing ideas and writing creatively.
A few morning photos...
Great job to all the students and staff at Summer Reading Camp! You completed your first week! One more to go! Enjoy your weekends, and get outside and play. We are so excited to see you again next week refreshed and ready to start again!
Read below to see some of the fun we've had this past week. More to come next week!
Movement and Active Games
Today we played a version of Rock, Paper, Scissors except instead of rocks and paper and scissors, we got to be Bears, Salmon, Mosquitos! It was called Alaskan Rock, Paper, Scissors and it was very funny!
Today in Word Games students played with their Story Cubes, telling the silliest tales they could imagine. Hangman was another hit, as students challenged each other's spelling skills with difficult-to-guess words like "queen"!
They also worked very hard in their Guided Reading groups, impressing their teachers with all of the skills they are sharpening, like fluency, sequencing, and making predictions about what they are reading.
Movement and Active Games is always a favorite! Today's students were practicing their hand-eye coordination in End Ball. Ask your children about all the experiences they are enjoying here at Summer Reading Camp!
