Project T.R.E.E. (Teaching Responsible Environmental Education) got its start last week at Winding Trails in Farmington, CT. Middle School Students from Eli Terry Jr. Middle School (Plymouth), Lee Kellogg (Canaan), and Carrington School (Waterbury) came together on October 1st and 2nd to explore Pond Life, the Carbon Cycle, the Life of a Tree and the Predator/Prey relationship.
Some of the highlights include:
- investigating trees on a nature walk
- building a campfire
- Predator/Prey tag
- using nets to examine pond life
- collaborative learning with new friends
Coming Up:
